First Time Home Buyer Grants (Disabled Person)

DonaldinNV started this conversation

I am 44 and legally blind.  I & my parter work full-time and earn about 46,000 a year combined.

Are there any grant programs I would quality for to buy a small home or grants for a down-payment of one.  Homes I am interested in in Henderson NV are around 250,000.

Thanks,

Donald Bosso

in response to marinedavet...   Thank you so much for the invite.
I am just elated for you.
And more so, I really appreciate you for letting me know your good news. So many times I give people advice or tell them where assistance may be available & never hear back from them.

You are truly a special person.

May many blessings come your way.

in response to marinedavet...   Have you thought about using your VA mortgage loan entitlement?
If you are 100% VA disabled, then your monthly benefit is over $2,600 dollars a month. And,you get social security in addition to that, therefore you get more than enough to be able to pay a $250,000-$300,000 dollar loan. You could pay the monthly mortgage with your pay alone. This is not including the monies your mom gets.
Please call the VA at: 800-827-1000. They can get your entitlement certification to you.
I wish you the best.
